Eisenhower on "The Bomb"

When we were tasked with finding a topic, I found it a bit daunting. I looked through the list of famous speeches on the website that Mrs. Evans told us to use as a reference. I scrolled through the list until I read one with an interesting title, Atoms for Peace.
Turns out that it is a speech that Dwight D. Eisenhower delivered to congress about the potential danger and benefits of the discovery of atomic technology. While he spends a better part of the speech talking about its destructive capabilities the end of the speech offers a plan for more economic and humanitarian uses. The goal of the speech was to educate the U.N. about the technology and highlight his plan for using it.
