Your boss makes millions of dollars because of your hard work and you don’t get any of that money. Now is that fair?

I’m arguing for why college athletes should be paid. My main reason is that colleges make so much money off of them and their likeness that they deserve to be paid. The NCAA sells jerseys of the players and EA Sports uses their likenesses in video games. Both make millions of dollars because of how well the athletes perform. CBS just signed a deal with the NCAA to broadcast March Madness for the next 13 years. The contract is worth well over 10 billion dollars. It’s because of these athletes hard work and sacrifice that this contract is possible. It doesn’t seem right that a college can make so much money off of their student athletes while, in some cases, the athletes themselves go hungry.
