Stop complaining about how awful your life is, and grow up so you can realize that people are dying while you are crying.

My paper is about poverty in the United States. In the paper, I discussed the definition of poverty, the history of poverty, and the different kinds of poverty. My paper argued the fact that people in the United States are not nearly as poor as the people in third-world countries. These people are thankful to have a roof over their heads and water to drink, as opposed to the people in the United States complaining that they only got one small gift for Christmas. The difference between poverty in the United States in comparison to the third-world countries is obviously huge. I definitely think more focus should be put toward the poverty going on in third-world countries, instead of people always worrying about what goes on in the United States. People in third-world countries should be given at least an equal amount of help to what the people in the United States receive.

  1. The United States has just as much poverty as any other third world country, just because it isn't advertised in an infomercial does not mean it doesn't exist. The Glass Castle is a perfect example of how many Americans are living in poverty. So I would have to disagree with your argument. The United States needs to repair the poverty we have before helping third world countries.
