Designing arguments

Chapter 8 of Envision is all about the right way to design arguments. There are different design methods or mediums available for use, and in this chapter one learns the right time and way to use these mediums. There are different design tools available when writing papers such as a cover page with a picture or slogan, anything to catch the reader’s attention to a bio- a brief biography of the author. A bio helps the reader by giving them a brief background about the writer of the story, and helps them to understand where the story may be coming from. This chapter talks about how it is important to incorporate visuals into papers and presentations. Pictures are important because they give a correct visual, and can paint the picture people are trying to make in their minds while reading. It Is important that the picture is there to enhance the point being made in the written work, and not just there for no reason. Pictures need a purpose. A good picture can help prove your point and persuade the reader to understand or agree with what you are saying.
