Dont go down for plagiarism

I am a football player here at ballstate, and one of the football players was punished serverly for turning someones paper in. the person had graduated but his paper had been scanned so that it was in the system.so just that story alone tells me plagiarism is a big deal chapter z is going to help me avoid plagiarism and documenting sources.
the chapter definition of plagiarism is theft of others ideas. Readers need to know that plagiarism is a serious offense ,even if it occurs unintentionally or accidentally. unintentional plagiarism can be occur because of fatigue, overstauration of information, poop memory or sloppy note taking. the chapter even talks about consequences for college students for plagiarism. Colleges don't distinguish between unintentional or accidental plagiarism.
The punishment could be failure of the course or explusion. after reading this chapter i learned about the meaning of intelletual property, the dangers of plagiarism , the rhetorical purpose of documentation style, the cross referencing logic of in text citations, and guidelines for MLA work cited and consulted lists.
