Evaluating sources

Chapter five is finding and evaluating research sources. the beginning is finding the best research terms to use in looking for sources on your topic. By having good search terms you should be able find quality, reputable sources for specific topic. The chapter then talks about primary sources whose original texts you analyze in your research paper and secondary sources that provide commentary on your primary material or on your topic in general. it goes into evaluating sources which is something you must do when dealing with sources. when looking for website as sources look for sites that end with .org or .gov rather than .com. those sites are more reliable and trustworthy opposed to .com. when looking at web pages everything on a website is not a good source you may have to do a background search on the author or editor of the site. Also look at the date to see when it was published. these are the important things I picked up from chapter 5.
