crime scene clean up journal entry

I learned that crime scene cleanup is not just about all of the things you see on crime shows such as CSI. About a quarter of the cases are like seen on CSI. One quarter of the cases are suicides that need cleaned up. The problem is thats not the end of it. If a person commits suicide and they are not found for a while they start to rot. If they have an animal that animal could start eating their flesh. This creates a real mess to clean up. Its not testing the blood for evidence and cleaning it up. Some times the blood and human liquids go through multiple layers of the floor, the walls, or mattresses. All of this area needs to be disinfected so the people moving into the house or the people still living there can live in it after its cleaned. I learned that one fourth of the clean ups are left behind feces, suicides, decomposition, and gun shots. The clean up crew needs everything to be disenfected. They must properly dispose of everything with human liquid on it. They put the pieces in bio-hazard boxes and bags and then bring to a place to properly dispose of the boxes and bags. Once everything is clean and sanitary their job is done until they get the next call. I really enjoyed this PDS about crime scene cleanup.
