composing arguments

opening the chapter 3 composing arguments start by talking about cannon to rhetoric. which is the principle by which all writing, speaking or visual arguments operate. the five communicative acts invention, arrangement, style, memory, and delivery. The chapter says taht all these cannons are necessary for persuasive communication. The chapter moves to talk about inventing an argument. while writing an argument the main point is to convince others to see tour perspective. Theses key elements are critical to making an argument selection, placement, perpective, and framing. The way you presengt your material on paper will shape a readers response to the ideas. This is why arrangement in arguments are important. They begin talking about ways to structure a written essay so you want just be moving from one idea to the next. The different structures that were mentioned in the text was chronilogical structure, cause effect, thematic structure, problem solution, block structure, and deferred thesis. By reading this chapter i have learned to harness the canons of rhetoric.
