Our group consists of Holly, Spencer, Sam, Sheree, Rheca, and Paige. We made a sort of, “how to” video, showing how to avoid being sick in college. There are four main categories; hygiene, diet, sleep, and stress. For Hygiene diet and sleep we have some statistics and helpful hints. For stress we did flashes of ways to keep calm when stressed or trying to avoid becoming stressed. We filmed our video Saturday and all we really have left to do is add in music. After a few minor adjustments our video will be around 60 seconds.Please leave us advice!
Overall, the project appears well-developed. The only thing that concerns me is that words on top of video may become somewhat "busy" as far as the from the viewer's perspective.

ReplyDeleteI like the topic of your video, and I like the idea. It's hard to make comments when we don't really have an exact visual, but from what I can tell, it should be a good presentation.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea. It's interesting about how many people actually don't wash their hands. Just don't make the music too loud and obnoxious. I don't really know what else to say. haha.
ReplyDeleteThe project seems well thought out and you guys have a clear argument. My only concern would be have text over a video; would it be text then video or video then text?
ReplyDeleteBe careful with your video and going over the amount of time we were given. We did our video with video clips and slides of statistics as well and it was hard to keep it under a minute. I really like where the idea for your project is going though.
ReplyDeleteThis is a good topic, because everybody needs to be reminded of what they should be doing every day. You have good statistics and facts to go along with your presentation. If you are still having trouble finding music, try using the music that comes with the movie-maker or other programs on your computer. That way you do not have to search the web for hours trying to find a decent song to use.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of calling it the "Freshmen 4" because they some of the most important things in college. Your video seems like it would be very interesting and informational to watch.
ReplyDeleteThe topic for your video is smart for a class full of college students. I would recommend making your video exactly 1 min, because my group in a few seconds over and we were told that isn't ok; you wouldn't want to loose points for something like that! I like the way you plan on showing how to stay healthy, and I think in the end it will turn out really well.
ReplyDeleteThe visual aids were definitely helpful and add to the validity of the project. PSA videos are often the most effective way to convey a point. You seem well organized with your storyboard. Plenty of information is good, just be sure it is presented without overloading the audience.
ReplyDeleteFor Beat the Freshman 4 is a good topic. I feel as if the tittle is a little confusing, because it so close to the freshman 15 about losing weight. I feel like you are all well organized and have most of the project done. The main points are very easy to understand. Great work so far.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very helpful topic and i think more students need to be aware of how to live a healthier life style. My only concern would be the music and to make sure it doesn't over power the slides, which you have already thought about. So overall well done.
ReplyDeleteThe title is a tad confusing because of the term "Freshman 15". Maybe rename it to something like "The Fatal 4" or something like that. And sure up the "Hygiene: Hand Washing" section, because it is a little confusing.

ReplyDeletewith the information given i felt it seemed like a decent project but its lacks something. i hope that the final video can keep my attention because in truth if its not appealing to the audience no one besides our instructor will actually pay attention keep this in mind.
