Where we all love to spend our time: Bracken at Ball State University

Throughout the week, students that attend Ball State University can go to the library at almost all hours of the day to study and get information for any schoool project. The University Library is open until 3 in the morning on sunday through thursday. This gives students a place to go to concentrate and study for exams in a quiet environment. The CardCat is a list that explains a location and a call title for any book in the library that you are looking for. Bracken Library consists of five floors. The lower level of Bracken Library is where you can find music collections, educational resource collections, video information systems, the assistant dean's office, physical processing, and much more. The first level of Bracken Library is where you can find several copiers and printers, the reference desk, the Bookmark Cafe, the book drop, unified technology support, and library assistants that can guide you to whereever you want to go. The second floor of Bracken Library has the general collection call numbers A-F, bound periodicals, archives and special collections, the atlas collection, and several tables and lounge chairs for students to study either in a group or alone. The third floor of Bracken Library has the general collection call numbers G-L and N-PZ, scholar carrels, marketing communications, and library information technology services. The top floor of Bracken Library has general collection call numbers QD 400-Z and Q-QD 399, a large quiet study zone, and the student athletes study area. Bracken Library has many useful and educational resources to offer and should be taken advantage of by all students on campus. The library is a quiet place to study, work on projects, write papers, and educate yourself on new topics.
